Our services are valuable. But our reputation is worth its weight in gold. To that end, we’d love to help you avoid paying for a service call that you don’t really need.

Before making an appointment, we recommend trying these two simple tests.

This test is a great way to determine if you genuinely have a pool leak—and how much water is leaking. It’s easy, too. All you need is a method of marking the water level in your pool. We recommend electric tape, pencil, or grease pencil.

  1. Fill your pool to the proper height (typically midway on the skimmer) & mark the water level.
  2. Operate the pool as normal for 24 hours (don’t close any valves or openings).
  3. After 24 hours have passed, mark the water level again. Did it drop?
  4. Now, repeat the entire process. But this time, do it with the water pump off.

If the level is consistently dropping, you likely need our help.

All pools lose water. The question is: do you have a leak, or is it Mother Nature? To find out, grab a bucket and follow these steps.

  1. Fill the bucket with pool water to the very, very brim.
  2. Place the bucket on the first or second step of your pool (be sure the top of the bucket is above the pool water).
  3. Mark the water level on the pool wall, then wait 24 hours.
  4. Compare water levels in your pool and in your bucket. Is there difference?

If water in the pool dropped more than the water in the bucket, you have a leak.
